It allows :
- Thoracic descending aortic stent-grafting as described in our article.
- Abdominal aortic stent-grafting. In this indication, the approach enables to perform complementary procedures such as lumbar and inferior mesenteric arteries ligature as well as neck stabilization.
- Procedures for implantation of transcatheter cardiac valves.
The primitive iliac artery approach is the best site for such procedures.
